The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apple Steve Jobs is on a medical leave once again. The owner of the largest technology company has always been a victim of such situations. He has a long history of these medical issues that also include issues related to cancer.

The American multinational corporation Apple has been the active participant of the move to modern technologies. This is a result of sincere efforts of Steve Jobs. The company is related to computer hardware, computer software, consumer electronics and digital distribution. There has been no stop to the growth of Apple ever since the first Macintosh was released by Apple in 1984.

Steve Jobs although has made the company traverse through thick and thin but now seems sick again and is fighting with health issues. He has taken leave from the company on medical basis. This is the second time in two years when Steve Jobs has taken a leave of absence from the company. This news was first highlighted by the employers of Apple. They said that Steve Jobs sent them a letter in which he told about the medical leave.

Steve Jobs said that the board of directors has granted him a medical leave upon his request so that he could focus on his health. Steve Jobs further adds in the letter that he would be continuing as CEO after recovering and will be involved in the strategic management and crucial decision making of the company. He also said the he loves Apple a lot and is hopeful of returning soon but in the meanwhile he appreciates respect for the privacy of his family.

The health concerns of Steve Jobs have been in news since 2003. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003. He had undergone several surgeries as well. Though after surgeries and medicines Jobs was able to return to company, but was again struck by such a concern in 2008. During a press conference in 2008, Jobs told about his sudden loss of weight. A hormone imbalance had resulted in such a weight loss.

Steve Jobs also had a liver transplant in 2009 where he was on a medical leave. The situation has been crucial ever since the first diagnose in 2003 and has not yet been resolved. It was expected that Jobs will appear on media with News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch to introduce the Apple’s Tablet iPad Device but the event was postponed.

Apple is expected to release earning report on this Tuesday. The makers of the well known iPhone and iPad are waiting for their owner to take charge again and continue to boost the current technological situation of the world.
