A member of the Black Eyed Peas, Allan Pineda, popularly known as apl.de.ap is preparing for a music video as a way of doing a fund raising campaign to aid less fortunate Filipino children for their education.
From his hometown are selected children who will have an appearance in his music video, “People Power” which is actually his original composure.
He will be using such video to benefit the poor Filipino children who deserves to get an education support.
“I’ll be working with the Sapang Bato kids on that project,” Pineda said as he added that he will begin the shooting when he comes back in two months.
Originally, Allan Pineda is from Baranggay Sapang Bato situated under the city of Angeles in Pampanga which is near the Clark Air Base.
It was in 1993 when Baranggay Sapang Bato was revived. At present, its registered individuals already reached up to 11,000. Where, according to the village chief, Mario Manialung, it has more than 2,000 elementary pupils and 871 high school students.
Children who will participate in the video will undergo screening by their Mayor Edgardo Pineda and the local leaders.
Pineda says that the song, People Power is about less fortunate kids and how much they need the support for their education to be able to improve their lives.
Apl.de.ap has opened a project that is a Music Studio and Library at the Holy Angel University Wednesday. The said university was where Pineda took a part of his secondary education from 1986 to 1988.
On the other hand, Cristina who is Allan’s mother recalls that Apple had been an industrious boy by way of helping her to sell homemade snacks, do some household chores and worked on the farm as well.
Back then, a California-based lawyer in the name of Joe Ben Hedgens supported Pineda when he was 3 years old and was brought to US at age 14.
Allan Pineda had been humble and kind-hearted person as he engaged himself in sharing his blessings to the children as he quietly returns to his hometown to give Christmas gifts in the previous years.
