Colonel Muammar Gaddafi said Sunday, “We prepared our people, we have been armed men and women and now ready to defeat Western forces attacking the North African nation,” he said in a televised audio message.

“You will not advance; you will not step on this land. All the Libyan people are united, equipped with weapons and bombs,” said Gaddafi.

He warned UN leaders of United States, France and Britain that they would fall like ‘Hitler Mussolini.

Enthusiastic supporters of Col Gaddafi had filled up the compound the previous day. Civilians were all ready to die with him if necessary.

When the missiles struck, it was not sure if any of them were still in the compound. Several journalists were allowed to see them during the night.

The sky lit up with red glow of tracer rounds. The city echoed with gunfire and several explosions loud enough to rocked the city, including one at Col Gaddafi’s own residential compound.

The allies were targeting non-military locations; it was a proof that Col Gaddafi is not safe from the allied air strikes of the Western forces, said the spokesman of Libyan government.

However, the military officials said Sunday at the dawned time in Libya, a better view of the expected destruction along the coastline in the country will be given to the commanders through satellite.

The ships of United States and British launched the first phase of (–foul word(s) removed–)ault by the missiles since Saturday, raining ‘112 Tomahawk cruise missiles’ to more than 20-radar systems, the surface-to-air missile sites and communications center.

The initial onslaught was lead by the US, but the officials clearly said that America would quickly step back into supporting role within days, and hand over the command to its Arab and European partners.
