Lady Gaga honors Jamey Rodemeyer

“Bullying is for losers”, a trending statement released by Lady Gaga to campaigning for bullying’s illegality few days ago.

Last night was a heartfelt performance made by Lady Gaga in iheartradio music festival in Las Vegas as she dedicated a song to a 14-year-old fan named Jamey Rodemeyer who took his own life last Sunday because of bullying.

The song was entitled “Hair”. Lady Gaga sang it in tribute to Jamey who reportedly struggled from bullying for several years.

Lady Gaga is obviously against the unwanted emotional results of bullying. In her statement, she emphasized that Jamey was not a victim but he rather serves as a lesson to everyone.

According to the report released by the International Business Times, Rodemeyer previously made a post in Facebook showing the lyrics of “The Queen” by Lady Gaga. “Don’t forget me when I come crying to heaven’s door” – as what the posted lyrics say.

Before her performance, Lady Gaga believed that Jamey was out there listening somewhere. Furthermore, the singer kept on shouting her famous lines so her little monsters know her stand in opposition to bullying.

Well of course, not only Jamey Rodemeyer had experienced and suffered from bullies.  Many of the famous celebrities also struggled against it. If you could still remember, even the international singing sensation Charice Pempengco was reported to delete her Facebook page because of cyber-bullying.

It may seem that social networking sites, if used inappropriately, can be a major way that will open the doors of cyber bullying among many teenagers nowadays.
