Rev. Charlotte Richards shares his observation in statement via CNN. The report says that Rev. Richards, who owns the Little White Wedding Chapel found in Las Vegas Strip, stated that there were about 200 pairs who gathered to tie their knot and were able to relish the sanctity of marriage inside the church.
Although there were really some prepared couples who have scheduled their wedding day few days earlier than November 11, some decided to tie the knot in an instant.
While hundreds of couples wed in Las Vegas, China on the other hand marks this day as their “Super Singles Day” also known to others as the “Bachelors Day”.
For most Chinese people, November 11, 2011 is meaningful especially for those bachelors who have long been waiting for their own partners in life.
If Las Vegas has been flocked by hundreds of couples, China would beat them in numbers because BBC reports that there were over 3,300 couples who got married this day not counting those who just walked in and exchanged their wedding rings right on the moment.
