For the third time, the match of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez ended in a controversy after Pacquiao won via majority decision by the judges.

Both positive and negative comments have come up after the announcement of result, some were not contended with it saying that Marquez should have won the fight, while others say Pacquiao truly deserves to win.

But for the side of the Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao, they believe that they have won the fight but have acknowledged the skills and strength that Marquez have shown in the ring during the bout.

According to the statement given by Coach Freddie Roach, he said that Marquez went all out during the match and Pacquiao had really difficult rounds against the Mexican boxer. Roach also admitted that Marquez deserves a fourth rematch against the pound-for-pound king.

However, he insisted that Pacquiao has won the fight. He explained that in the last few rounds, Marquez settled for counter punches giving Pacquiao a way to still the spotlight and earn more points against him.

Two of the judges were convinced that Pacquiao won the match; Glenn Trowbridge and Dave Moretti have given their scorecards 116-112 and 115-113 in favor of the Filipino boxing champ while Judge Robert Hoyle saw it as a draw with 114-114 scores.

Roach defended Pacquiao over the criticism of others who believes that Marquez won the fight. He said that the judges gave this match to the boxer who is more aggressive in every round which is Pacquiao while Marquez stayed into a counter attack mode.

  1. The fact is that people can’t believe there’s no knockout in the fight. They want Pacquiao to knockout Marquez that’s why they are disappointed to what had happened.

Pacquiao did change his style in fighting Marquez. Roach is correct in saying that the judges gives favor to aggressive fighter rather than the GAY boxer.
